Still trying to totally figure out what we want to
do with this room - i'm thinking Aztec, so I bought
a bunch of different frames in all different colors & sizes
and got pictures of Mexican sugar sculls to put inside.
Stay tuned to see how that turns out :)

All paintings are courtesy of my mom the artist!
We went through so many different comforters in our master bedroom until
I finally found what I wanted... the result is that our left over comforter set
looks so much better in the spare guest room.

My old furniture worked out perfectly for this room.

Buried Little Treasures

So Keith and I have been driving all over town to find the most amazing little treasures for the house. It's been interesting having my shopping addiction change from shoes, clothes and accessories to now everything household!
"So Domesticated" as Keith calls it. :)

These are just a few of the treasures that we have found so far <3

Bedframe | Dresser | Nightstand Set & New Bedspread

New Chair for my Vanity in my Dressing Room

Guest Room is still a work in progress :)

Mirror I picked up in Barcelona a few years back. Had to get new Kitchen small appliances too.

Our Kitchen. I decided to spruce it up and add some color :)

Found this great house plant!

The After!!!

Wow, is all I had to say after seeing the transformation in our house after putting in the new flooring. Paul and Rene came down with their brood and were amazing enough to do our flooring for us. They did an absolutely amazing job and made our dreams come true!

In a matter of two days we had all the hardwood in and the carpet down. Those guys hustled buns! All we had left to get was the baseboards and the tile. We couldn't be more grateful to everyone involved in helping us get this together. This one one hell of a project, but we couldn't be happier in our own home! <3

Demolition Time...

The time finally came in January to do our flooring!! Finally carpet that I could roll around on and rub my face in, part of the little things in life :) The entire process of picking out flooring was completely overwhelming, but so much fun. When we first started, we didn't know anything about hardwood, carpet and tile. So I got my butt in gear and got online to do some research.

Well we headed over to to look at some carpet, tile and hardwood samples and probably went to at least 10 different stores looking for exactly what we wanted. Me of course being the picky one! I wanted something shabby chic for carpet, but not Austin Powers shabby chic. Something homey and warm for the hardwood, and ANYTHING except the god awful linoleum that  is in the bathrooms and kitchen now :)

After finalizing our flooring, we decided it was time to update the appliances. Thank you to our old neighbors and Sears, we got all brand new appliances - Washer / Dryer, Refrigerator, Stove and Dishwasher. It was about time for the guys to come over and start the demolition process. I took this as my Que
to step aside and let the men handle the dirty work ;)

Notice we painted the walls and trim :)

All of the Hardwood Supplies

No Idea where we will put all the supplies in the Garage?!?!

Bye Bye Baby Blue Carpet!!!

New Dishwasher | Fridge | Stove | and Washer & Dryer Appliances for the house!

At least we are stocked with the necessities :)
